Arsenal are working hard to secure a formidable team ahead of the 2023/24 English Premier League season, and the latest addition to head coach Mikel Arteta’s roster is Chelsea forward Kai Havertz.

News of the 24-year-old German footballer joining the ranks at Emirates Stadium was announced on the Gunners’ website and social media accounts on Wednesday, 28 June. The official Arsenal Twitter account posted an image of Havertz with the caption: “We keep moving forward. Kai Havertz is a Gunner.”

The Blues agreed to a presumably five-year contract worth £65 million for the talented midfielder, who made 91 appearances and scored 19 goals since first joining Stamford Bridge in late 2020.

“It’s super exciting for me to be joining this amazing club and to be part of the Arsenal family. This club has such a big history, and I hope we can achieve lots of things,” Havertz shared during the signing.

Arsenal are collecting the big guns with more news that West Ham United have reportedly accepted an incredible £105 million-bid for Declan Rice, with the amount payable within a year-and-a-half. The two clubs are in final discussions to iron out the details.
